Dear AP,

It is almost at the middle of Oct. Is there any update on this issue?

All the best.

Well, I really like Alertpay, but I'm a little disappointed, I thought that the debit card would be released worldwide since the first day, but now we have to wait more time.

I know that the card has to be tested, but when I see the word "soon", that means months of waiting.
Also, didn't like this part "....and ensure everything is fully functioning before we take on additional countries." Is it going to be like localized bank transfer? adding few countries every year? I think that Alertpay's growing will be determined with the manage that they are going to give to this card.

*AP_Derek, the debit card can be used to shop online? or only for ATM withdraw?.

*And a recommendation, Alertpay has to start a campaing in the internet to be used like other payment processors , and maybe start their own shop, like moneybookers, something modest, but it's a start.
It's one of the few things that Alertpay needs to improve, but definitely you are going on the right path.

Sorry for my English.

Calm down. Things take time and process in the real world.
They can only tell you what they know at the time.
The good news is there's one coming!

Hello joanseb,

I'm sorry that you feel disappointed, we are trying to improve many things at once to provide more support for our members. We have many projects ongoing that should improve the experience for members and merchants alike; they just take time and resources to be completed.

Certain countries are higher risk for transaction disputes, fraud and money laundering. We may decide to only offer debit cards to certain countries where the risk isn't as high. If this were your business, you would do the same thing.

The debit card will be able to be used wherever Visa cards are accepted. It can also be used to withdraw from an ATM.

What do you mean by "Alertpay has to start a campaing in the internet to be used like other payment processors"?

If you're referring to being used in more traditional markets, that has been our intent from the beginning. One of the projects we're working on is a Merchant directory that will enable people to know where AlertPay is accepted.

Thank you for the feedback. If you would like to suggest additional improvements, please feel free to visit our Developer's forum, where we have a section for recommending additional features, or improvements to features we currently have.

Best regards,

Chris
