Once you have this new server implemented, I have two questions

1) are we going to have to change our DNS settings like one particular PtC site is making us do?

2) Our we going to have real time clicks, or will they still have to trickle in.

Answers to your questions.. No.. DNS information won't change on your end. It will still be exactly the same url / DNS since we run our own nameservers.

2. It will still be load balanced but with the new cluster and an addition of 16 more quad core processors along with 16 more GB of server ram it will be as close to real time reporting as one can get. The tricky part is the database and how it handles calls. We may examine converting to innodb from myisam to control locked tables. Load balancing and caching with any large site is 100% necessary, but this will definitely improve everything including the trickle system. and technically we should then be able to handle millions of members with 7 servers clustered in total.

All TTG members will also then get free hosting to host their blogs / pages etc etc.
